절대연대자료는 유물복합체의 정밀한 시계열 확보에 기여할 수 있고, 공간적으로 균질하게 적용할 수 있는 기준을 제공할 수 있기 때문에, 유적의 형성과정과 상호작용의 복원에 유용할 수 있다. 그러나 백제고고학에서 지역특성이 반영된 유물복합체의 분포시차를 보다 객관적으로 산출해 낼 수 있는 방법론의 모색은 큰 진전이 없었으며, 경기 및 충청권역에서 400여건이 넘을 것으로 추산되는 원삼국시대 후기와 한성기 절대연대자료는 유물복합체의 자연과학적인 시간 폭을 설정하는데 분명한 한계를 지니고 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 이 연구에서는 고고학적 맥락에서 검증한 절대연대자료를 활용하여 한성양식 토기복합체 분포의 계기성과 효용성을 검토하였다. 한강 이북지역에서 한성Ⅰ기의 시작은 4세기 전후, 한성 Ⅱ기는 4세기 중후반의 자연과학적 절대연대와 관련된다. 한강 이남, 차령산맥 이북지역에서 한성Ⅰ기는 3세기 중반, 한성Ⅱ기는 지역에 따라 4세기 중반에서 5세기 전반 이전에 전환되었음을 알 수 있었다. 차령산맥 이남의 충청권역에서는 한성Ⅰ기와 관련된 직접적인 고고자료는 매우 제한적이지만, 한성Ⅱ기의 시작은 충청 서해안의 서남부지역이 4세기 중반, 그 밖의 중남부권과 남부권에서는 5세기 전반으로 갈음해 볼 수 있다. 이처럼 분포시차의 계기적 특성은 3세기 중반과 4세기 중반을 기준으로 한 한성양식 토기복합체의 형성시점 및 시기구분의 효용성을 통계학적으로 뒷받침해준다.
Since absolute age data can not only contribute to achieving a precise time series of assemblage, but also provide a standard that is equally applicable in a variety of spatial characteristics, the data can be utilized for the restoration of a forming process and interaction of site. However, the search for a methodology that objectively calculates the assemblage’s distributed lag, reflecting locality in archaeological research about Baekje, has not progressed; furthermore, the absolute age data of the late Proto Three Kingdoms period and the Hanseong period, estimated at over 400 in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong, has limited scope to set up a natural scientific time range of assemblage. In order to improve it, this research examines the sequence and effectiveness of the distribution of Hanseong style pottery assemblage using the absolute age data, verified in an archaeological context. In the upper Han River region, the beginning of PhaseⅠof Hanseong is related to the natural scientific absolute age of around the 4th century, and Phase Ⅱ of Hanseong is linked to the natural scientific absolute age of the mid to late 4th century. From the lower Han River region to the upper Charyeong Mountain Range, PhaseⅠof Hanseong appeared in the mid 3rd century, and Phase Ⅱ of Hanseong began between the mid 4th and early 5th century. While the direct archaeological information related to PhaseⅠof Hanseong is quite restricted in Chunchung of the lower Charyeong Mountain Range, it is considered that Phase Ⅱ of Hanseong began on the south-western part of the Chunchung west coast in the mid 4th century, and on the rest of the south-central and southern parts in the early 5th century. The sequential characteristics of the distributed lag support the effectiveness of the foundation period of Hanseong style pottery assemblage and the chronological division statistically.
