남조(南朝) 화상전(畵像磚) 향로(香爐)와 백제(百濟) 금동향로(金銅香爐) 비교(比較)

Comparison between Incense Burners on Brick Relief of China`s Southern Dynasty and Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje

백제 금동향로는 백제 문화를 보여주는 귀중한 유적으로서 남조시대의 화상전에 그려진 향로 도상과아주 흡사하다. 필자는 중국의 河南省 鄧縣 學莊村의 채색 화상전과 江蘇省 常州市 南郊의 戚家村 화상전에 그려진 향로 도상과 백제 금동향로를 비교 연구하고 나아가 백제 금동향로와 고대 중국의 문화, 금속공예기술 및 회화기법 등과의 관계에 대하여 더 면밀히 분석하여 연구를 진행해 보고자 한다.

Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje is an important historical legacy of Baekje culture ; it looks quite similar to the incense burners discovered on the brick relief of China’s Southern Dynasty. By comparing the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje with those incense burners on brick relief discovered at Xuezhuang Village of Henan province and Qijia Village of Jiangsu province, this study sets to examine the relationships among Gilt-bronze Incense Burner of Baekje, ancient Chinese culture, and ancient Chinese metal technics and design.
