윤리적인 문제는 그 성격상 이론과 실천이 분리될 수 없는 성질을 갖는다. 다만 어떤 문제에 좀 더 많은 관심을 가졌는지에 따라 서로 차이가 닐 따름이다. 그래서 전통적인 윤리학은 주로 보다 덩어리가 큰 문제들에 관심을 가진 반면, 현대 윤리학은 보다 작은 문제들에 더 많은 관심을 가져야 할 사회적 요구와 필요성에 직면한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 특히, 현대에 들어 우리의 윤리적 판단을 혼란스럽게 만드는 것은 빈부 격차, 경제적 갈등, 정치적 불안, 실업, 폭력과 범죄, 민족 간의 갈등과 종교 분쟁, 환경오염, 가상현실, 그리고 유전자 조작된 음식이나 동식물, 생명 복제 등 수많은 문제들이 개입되어 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 논의에서는 이러한 복합적인 문제들을 해결하기 위한 윤리적 접근으로 응용윤리학의 성격과 특징에 대해 살펴보고, 현대의 복합적인 문제들을 해결하기 위한 윤리학적 답변에 대해 살펴보는데 있다.

Ethical problems have the inseparable nature of theory and practice. However, there are differences depending on the type of problem you are more interested in. Therefore, while traditional ethics is mainly concerned with larger problems, modern ethics faces social needs and needs to pay more attention to smaller problems. In particular, Korea’s ethical judgments are confusing because of the gap between rich and poor, economic conflicts, political unrest, unemployment, violence and crime, ethnic conflicts and religious disputes, environmental pollution, virtual reality, and genetically modified food, plants and animals. Therefore, this discussion examines the characteristics and characteristics of applied ethics as an ethical approach to solving such complex problems, and examines the ethical answers to solve modern complex problems.
