회화예술에서 창의적 발상의 근거로서의 상상력

Imagination as the Basis for Creative Ideas in the Art of Painting

회화예술은 인간과 세계를 이해하는 한 방식임에 분명하다. 그런 측면에서 회화예술은 인간과 인간, 인간과 세계와의 소통을 전제로 한다. 이러한 소통이 주관적인 것을 상호-주관적인 것으로 엮어내는 과정이라고 했을 때, 회화예술 역시 이러한 점을 반영하고 있다. 주관적인 것을 상호-주관적인 것으로 혹은 객관적인 것으로 도출해 내는 능력이 다름 아닌 인간의 상상력인 것이다. 그래서 상상력에 대한 고찰은 곧 예술에서의 창의적 발상의 전제조건이다. 그런 의미에서 예술에서의 상상력에 대한 논의를 기반으로 한 예술적 창의성에 대한 적용은 필수적이다. 이 논문의 목적은 철학에서 일관되게 제기되어 온 상상력과 관련된 논의에 대해 고찰하고, 그러한 철학적 성과를 바탕으로 회화예술의 발상에 적용하고자 한다.

Painting art is clearly a way of understanding humans and the world. In this respect, painting art presupposes communication between humans and the world. Painting art also reflects the process of combining subjective and intersubjective communication. Human imagination is the ability to derive the subjective into the intersubjective or objective. Therefore, the examination of imagination is a prerequisite for creative ideas in art. In this sense, application to artistic creativity based on discussion of imagination in art is essential. The purpose of this paper is to examine the discussion of imagination consistently raised in philosophy and to apply it to the idea of painting art based on such philosophical achievements.
