음악교육에 있어서 ‘상상력’의 문제

The Problem of Imagination in Music Education

이 연구에서는 서구의 오랜 철학적 전통을 바탕으로 한 상상력의 개념이 오늘날 교육 일반에서는 창의력과 어떻게 구분되어 개념화할 수 있는지 살펴본 후, 이러한 상상력의 개념을 바탕으로 음악의 이론과 실제에 있어서의 상상력과 음악교육 측면에서 어떻게 적용할 수 있는지에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 특히, 음악적 상상력은 한슬릭(E. Hanslick)의 음악미학을 중심으로 살펴보고, 음악교육에 있어서는 작곡ㆍ연주 활동과 감상 활동이라고 하는 음악 교육과정의 영역들과 연관 지어 고찰할 것이다. 이를 위하여 창의력과 상상력에 대한 개념을 비롯해 서구의 상상력에 대한 철학적 전통과 그 이론을 중심으로 음악에서의 상상력과 실제적인 음악교육 활동에서의 상상력이 어떻게 적용되어 질 수 있는지에 대해 살펴보았다

In this study, let’s look at how the concept of imagination based on the long philosophical tradition of Western Europe is distinguished from creativity in general education today. In particular, musical imagination will focus on E. Hanslick s music aesthetics, and in music education, it will be considered in relation to the fields of music education such as composition, performance and appreciation. To this end, we will examine the philosophical traditions of Western imagination, including the concept of creativity and imagination, and how imagination can be applied to music education activities.
