비영리 조직의 성과에 관한 연구동향 분석

The Study on Analysis of Research Trends on the Performance of Non-profit Organizations: Focused on Social Welfare

최근 비영리 조직이 확대되면서 비영리 조직이 이루어 낸 성과가 무엇인지, 그리고 성과를 어떻게 측정할 것인지에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 이런 필요성을 토대로 기존 연구동향을 검토하여 사회복지분야를 중심으로 비영리 조직의 성과는 어떻게 정의할 수 있는지, 그것을 어떻게 측정할 것인지에 대한 연구의 방향성을 제시하고 있다. 분석 결과 한국에서 비영리 조직성과 연구는 2000년 이후에 본격적으로 시작되었다. 비영리 조직의 성과는 다양한 정의를 내릴 수 있지만, 비영리 조직의 가치나 정체성을 유지하는 것을 기본으로 하여 재정지원자나 제삼자가 이해할 수 있는 결과물로 나타내야 할 것이다. 또한, 비영리 조직의 성과측정은 포괄적 관점에서, 구체적으로 측정할 수 있는 양적 조사방법이 주류인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 학문적 함의로서 비영리 조직의 성과와 성과측정 방법에 대한 논의를 고찰하여 향후 관련 연구의 방향성을 제시하였다. 그리고 실천적 함의로서 비영리 조직이 성과를 구체적으로 어떻게 정의하고 측정할 것인지에 대한 근거를 제공하였다.

According to the recent expansion of non-profit organizations, interest in what non-profit organizations have achieved and how to measure their performance is increasing. Based on this need, this study reviews the existing research trends and suggests the direction of research on how the performance of non-profit organizations can be defined and how to measure them. As a result of the analysis, it began study on non-profit organizational performance in earnest in Korea after 2000 in earnest. The performance of a non-profit organization can be defined in various ways, but it should be expressed as a result that financial supporters or third parties can understand based on maintaining the value or identity of the non-profit organization. The result shows that the mainstream include a specific and measurable quantitative methods based on comprehensive perspectives for performance measurement of non-profit organizations. The academic implication of this study suggested the direction of future related research by considering the discussion on performance and performance measurement of non-profit organizations. In practical implication, the result provided a basis for how non-profit organizations will specifically define and measure performance.
