The objective of this study was to understand the importance of food tourism and selection attributes targeting Jeju Island, which has rich marine tourism resources. The importance of food tourism has increased as a key factor for promoting local tourism, developing regional agriculture and economic development, and enhancing tourism marketing. The price, service, taste, hygiene, atmosphere, and menu of food were presented as selection attributes regardless of the type of business or industry. This study first defined selection attribute items and clearly derived measurement items for the AHP analysis to achieve the study objective. Moreover, this study was conducted after setting measurement items. The results of this study showed that food quality and awareness had high importance, and regional characteristics could be a reason.
