지속가능한 대학교육을 위한 원격 학습공간 인식 및 교육적 요구 분석 연구

A Study on the Recognition of Remote Learning Space and the Analysis of Educational Needs for Sustainable University Education: Focusing on the Case of C University

현재 우리나라 지역대학의 교육현장에서는 지속가능한 대학에 대한 새로운 방향성에 대한 논의가 확산되고 있다. 본 연구는 원격학습공간에서 대학생들의 학습경험을 기반으로 원격수업에 대한 인식과 요구를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 혼합연구방법으로 접근하여 설문조사와 심츰면담을 실시하였으며 통계분석과 질적내용분석방법을 활용하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 연구결과는 크게 네 가지 영역에서 미래지향적 대학교육을 위한 이론적 기초와 새로운 방향성을 제시한다. 첫째, 학업성취도가 높은 학생들이 원격수업에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있으며 대면수업 보다 원격수업에서 교육적 효과가 높았다. 둘째, 지속적인 원격수업을 위해 공동학습공간 마련과 교수자의 역량강화를 위한 에듀테크(EduTech)교육이 필요하다. 셋째, 원격수업이 일시적인 대면수업의 대체방식이 아니라 지속가능한 대학교육을 위한 새로운 방안으로 대면수업과 혼합된 독창적이고 창조적인 학습환경 구축이 필요하다. 넷째, 지속가능한 대학교육의 방향성은 교육, 연구, 사회공헌의 역할을 감당해야 하며 대학교육의 보편화 측면에서 평생학습 장소로서의 역할이 강조되어야 한다.

Currently, in the educational field of local universities in Korea, discussions about a new direction for a sustainable university are spreading. The purpose of this study is to analyze the recognition and needs for remote learning based on the learning experiences of university students in the remote learning space. To achieve the purpose of this study, a mixed research method was approached, questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews were conducted, and statistical analysis and qualitative content analysis methods were used. The results of this study suggest theoretical foundations and new directions for future-oriented university education in four major areas. First, students with high academic achievement had a positive perception of remote learning and had a higher educational effect than face-to-face learning. Second, it is necessary to prepare a joint learning space for continuous remote learning and to provide EduTech education to strengthen the competence of instructors. Third, remote learning are not a temporary alternative to face-to-face classes, but as a new way for sustainable university education, it is necessary to establish an original and creative learning environment mixed with face-to-face learning. Fourth, the direction of sustainable university education should play the roles of education, research, and social contribution, and the role as a place for lifelong learning should be emphasized in terms of the generalization of university education.
