The Significance and Activation of Young Children’s Woodworking Play for in the Era of 4th Industrial Revolution

Early childhood education has emphasized proactive and creative learning through play and participation in various activities that started from the needs and interest of young children. As such, play is the most effective way to improve the core competencies of the future in early childhood education by securing the autonomy implementation. This study focused on woodworking play which has many possibilities for young children to express themselves in a new and unique way. Therefore, the significance of woodworking play for young children to form the basis of various competencies necessary for the era of 4th Industrial Revolution was examined, and the plan to activate woodworking play was discussed so that woodworking play could be established as a play that young children can experience on a daily basis within the curriculum.
