This paper shows a synthetic and combined model of the business environment, strategy, competence and performance of firms in Korea. Also, the study analyze the relationships among them by the findings on questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows. First, Both of the differentiation strategy and the price strategy affect each other significantly in the relation of business environment and strategy. Second, the cost part is emphasized as the competence of firms, when the price strategy is taken by firms. Third, taking the price strategy is led by the complication of environments in the competence and the firm`s performance, then it successfully affects the firm`s financial performance. In other words, as the complication of the environment surrounding the firms is increased, the importance of the firm`s strategy is getting bigger and bigger. But no direct relationship between the competence and the firm`s performance means that making the firms` competence is an essential prerequisite.
