랜덤포레스트를 활용한 학부모의 학교참여 영향요인 탐색

Analysis of Influential Factors of Parent Involvement in School Using Random Forest

본 연구에서는 랜덤포레스트를 활용하여 초, 중, 고 학부모의 학교참여 수준에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 탐색해 보았다. 이를 위하여 학부모정책연구센터에서 2020년 ‘한국의 미래교육을 대비한 미래 학부모 핵심 역량 연구’를 위해 전국의 초, 중, 고 학부모 940명을 대상으로 수집한 자료를 사용하였다. 조사 결과는 랜덤포레스트를 활용하여 자녀의 학교급별로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 학부모의 학교참여 영향요인 1순위는 초등학교의 경우 ‘내가 행사와 교육활동 등에 참여하면 아이의 친구 관계에 도움이 될 것이다.’ 였고, 중학교와 고등학교의 경우 ‘학교는 학부모에게 다양한 교육과 연수를 제공해야 한다.’였다. 이 외 학부모의 성별과 연령도 학부모 학교참여에 영향력이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 학부모들의 학교참여를 증진하고 장려할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 시사점을 제언하고자 하였다

This study explores the factors affecting the school participation level of parents in elementary, middle, and high schools using Random Forest. To this end, a survey was conducted to identify the factors related to school participation among 940 parents of elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide. The results of the survey were analyzed by school level using random forest. The results show that the most important factor for parental participation in school was ‘If I participate in events and educational activities, it will help the child s friendship.’ In the case of middle and high school, ‘Schools should provide various education and training to parents.’ In addition, parents’ gender and age also showed a strong influence on parental school participation. This study provides recommendations in seeking ways to promote and encourage parental participation in school.
