In this study, the performance of a battery cooling system with different flow rates is evaluated by inserting a cooling tube between its cylindrical battery cells. Results show that the average temperature of the battery module without cooling is 60.56°C after 20 min. When the flow rates of the cooling system are 2 and 3 L/min, the average temperatures of the battery module after 20 min are 36.17°C and 34.44°C, respectively. In addition, the temperatures along the Z-axis of the battery module for these flow rates are 1.24°C and 1.13°C, respectively, thereby confirming that the battery’s heat generation can be effectively reduced.
