International youths’ global competences have gained their importance around the globe, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Korea. Through pre and post surveys from the participants of the ASEAN-Korea Youth Summit program, this study aimed to investigate global leadership-related competences in the domains of (a) “understanding of the Youth Summit program,” (b) “awareness of diversity and ASEAN culture,” (c) “global citizenship competence,” (d) “confidence for international exchange” and (e) “online group discussion experience” in all participants along with gender and nationality variable. Though with limited interpretation, the study findings offer empirical, international, and student-oriented viewpoints and provide some of the unique characteristics in ASEAN and Korean youths through own responses. Implications of online international exchange and study limitations are discussed.
