Development and Application Case of Computerized Accounting Program of Long-term Care Institutions for the Elderly

우리나라의 노인장기요양기관들은 사회복지시설정보시스템을 통하여 예·결산 보고 및 회계처리를 해야 한다. 이는 노인장기요양기관들의 회계시스템이 정부기관에 대한 보고목적을 강조하고 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 그러나 노인장기요양기관의 경영자들은 정부기관에 제출할 회계보고서의 생성과 함께 재정관리 목적으로도 전산회계프로그램을 운영할 필요가 있다. 또한 노인장기요양기관의 회계시스템은 도입기간이 짧을 뿐만 아니라 회계담당자들의 전문성도 부족하여 전산회계프로그램의 효율적인 운영을 저해하고 있는 실정이다. 이상과 같은 연구의 필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 노인장기요양기관들의 재정관리를 효율적으로 지원할 수 있는 전산회계프로그램을 개발하였으며, 이를 이용해 간단한 실무 사례를 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 우리나라 노인장기요양기관의 회계시스템의 발전과 대학의 전산회계교육을 수행하는 데 필요한 기초자료와 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 노인장기요양기관들에게 쉬운 전산회계프로그램의 도입할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있고, 현행 회계시스템의 단점을 보완하는 데도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Long-term care institutions for the elderly in Korea are required to report and account for budgets and closing through the social welfare facility information system. This means that the accounting system of long-term care institutions for the elderly emphasizes the purpose of reporting to government institutions. However, managers need to operate computerized accounting programs for financial management purposes as well as generating accounting reports to be submitted to government agencies. Also, the accounting system of long-term care institutions has a short introduction period as well as the lack of expertise of accountants, which hinders the efficient operation of computerized accounting programs. In accordance with the necessity of the above study, this study developed a computerized accounting program that can efficiently support the financial management of long-term care institutions for the elderly, and presented a simple practical case using it. The results of this study will be able to provide basic data and information necessary for the development of the accounting system of long-term care institutions for the elderly and the computerized accounting education. Also, it can provide an opportunity to introduce an easy computerized accounting program and to complement the shortcomings of the current accounting system.
