A Study on the Relationship between Sensitivity and Parenting Efficacy in Mothers with Infants

본 연구에서는 영아기 자녀 및 어머니의 사회인구학적 특성에 따라 양육효능감에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았고, 어머니의 민감성과 양육효능감 간의 관계를 탐색하였으며, 어머니의 사회인구학적 특성 및 민감성이 양육효능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구대상은 경기도, 충청도 지역의 영아기 자녀를 둔 233명의 어머니이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 통계 프로그램음 사용하여 분석하였으며, 기술통계, t 검증, Pearson의 적률상관분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육효능감은 어머니의 학력 수준과 취업 여부에 따라 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 어머니의 민감성은 양육효능감과 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 민감성은 어머니의 학력 수준과 취업 여부를 통제한 후에도 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 니타났다. 본 연구는 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육효능감에 있어 민감성의 중요성을 제시한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is a difference in parenting efficacy according to the socio-demographic characteristics of infants and their mothers, explore the relationship between mother's sensitivity and parenting efficacy, and examine the effect of mother's socio-demographic characteristics and sensitivity on parenting efficacy. Participants for this study were in 233 mothers with infants in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do. Descriptive statistics, several t-tests, Pearson's momentum correlation, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results of this study are as follows; (1) the parenting efficacy of mothers with infants differed by the mother's educational level and employment status, (2) the mother's sensitivity was positively associated with parenting efficacy, and (3) the sensitivity of the mother had an effect on the parenting efficacy controlling the mother's educational level and employment condition. This study highlights the importance of sensitivity in promoting parenting efficacy of mothers with infants.
