史記와 고지도의 융합적 관점에서 본 위만 시기 浿水 위치에 대한 재검토

A review of the position of Paesu in the Weiman era from the fusion perspective of Shi-Ji(史記) and old maps

이 글은 그동안 발표된 패수(浿水)의 위치에 대한 여러 학설을 재검토하여 새로운 위치를 찾는 것이 목적이다. 어느 시대에 패수(浿水)가 어디에 있었는가 하는 문제는 역사를 해석하는데 있어서 매우 중요하다. 그래서 많은 사람들이 관심을 갖고 이를 연구하였다. 필자는 위만 시기의 패수의 위치를 찾고자 한다. 지금까지 연구된 위만 시기의 패수(浿水)의 위치는 크게 두 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 하나는 평양의 대동강이 곧 패수(浿水)라고 하는 학설이 있고, 또 다른 하나는 요서(遼西)의 난하(灤河)가 곧 패수(浿水)라고 하는 학설이 있다. 이에 필자는 『사기』(「조선열전」)의 주석에서 말한 3수(水)에 근거하여 열수(洌 水)를 패수로 해석해 보았다. 열수(洌水)는 곧 지금의 당하(唐河)이다. 당하(唐河)는 하북성 보정(保定) 부근에서 천진(天津)으로 흐르는 방향에 위치하고 있다. 이처럼 패수의 위치는 시대마다 달랐다고 본다. 이렇게 시대마다 다른 패수의 위치를 찾음으로써 고조선의 강역을 이해하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

The purpose of this article is to revisit various theories about Paesu's position and find new position. The question of where Paesu(浿水) was in which era is very important in interpreting history. So many people have studied it with interest. I want to locate Paesu in the Weiman(衛滿) era. The position of Paesu in the Weiman era known so far can be largely divided into two. One theory is that the Daedong River(大同江) in Pyongyang is called Paesu, and the other is that the Luan River(灤河) of the yoseo is called Paesu. In response, I interpreted Yel River(洌水) as Paesu, based on the three rivers that Sagi(史記) stated in his notes. Yel River is what is now Tang River(唐河). Tang Riveris located in the direction of Tianjin(天津) from the vicinity of Baoding(保定) in Hebei Province. Like this, the position of Paesu was different from era to era. It is hoped that finding the position of Paesu, which varies from era to era, will help us understand the stronghold of Gojoseon.
