대학생의 태아와 낙태에 대한 인식유형 연구

A Study on College Students’ Perception Types of Fetus and Abortion Through Q Methology

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 태아와 낙태에 대한 주관적 인식유형을 파악하고자 했다. 이를 위해 Q 방법론을 활용하여 태아와 낙태에 대한 4가지 인식유형과 특징을 밝혔다. <유형 1>은 ‘여성 우선형-태아보다 임신모의 삶 우선’ 으로 임신한 여성의 삶과 그의 결정권을 우선했다. <유형 2>는 ‘태아 우선형-‘여성보다 보호받아야 할 인간 태아 우선’으로, ‘태아는 성장 중인 인간’이기 때문에 생명권이 보호받아야 하는 존재라는 인식이다. <유형 3>은 ‘불가피, 상황적’ 낙태 허용형으로 현실적 상황이나 이유에 따라 낙태를 할 수 있다는 의견이다. <유형 4>는 ‘낙태 예방형-무리한 출산에 따른 부작용 예방형’으로 부모로서의 준비되지 않은 상태에서의 출산은 또 다른 부작용의 위험을 안고 있다고 인식했다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생들의 올바른 성가치관 정립을 위한 성교육, 생명교육, 미혼부모의 자녀양육 지원 제도 확립을 위한 활동의 필요성을 제언했다. Q 방법론을 사용한 연구로 발생하는 자료수집 대상자 수의 제한과 지역적 한계에도 본 연구의 결과는 앞으로 낙태 예방방안 모색을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study intended to investigate college students’ subjective perception types of fetus and abortion. To this end, it used 31 statements related to fetus and abortion, and forty participants classified the statements. The Q Classification identified the undergraduate students’ perception of fetus and abortion into four types. <Type 1> ‘a type of pregnant woman priority over the fetus’ prioritizes the life of a pregnant woman and her right to make decisions on an abortion. <Type 2>‘fetal-first type - the human fetus that needs to be protected over women’ perception type means that It is a perception that the right to life should be protected because ‘the fetus is a growing human being’. <Type 3> is the ‘Circumstances Priority - allowing abortion in case of unavoidable circumstances’ type, and it is the opinion that abortion can be performed according to realistic circumstances or reasons. <Type 4> is ‘an abortion prevention type - prevention of side effects caused by compulsive childbirth’ and childbirth in an unprepared state as a parent was recognized as having another risk of side effects. Based on the results of the study, the necessity of activities for sex education, Bioethics Education, and establishing a system to support child rearing of unmarried parents was suggested for the establishment of right values for sex among college students. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as basic data for finding ways to prevent abortion in the future despite the limitation on the number of data collection subjects and regional limitations caused by using the Q methodology.
