간호에서 돌봄의 예술

Art of Caring in Nursing

간호에서 돌봄이란 간호행위의 특성을 이해하는 핵심개념이다. 간호이론가들은 돌봄을 1) 인간의 존재론적 특성이며, 2) 간호의 도덕적 이상이며, 3) 정서적 특성을 지니며, 4) 대인관계 속에서 이루어지며, 5) 치료적 중재역할을 한다는 것으로 특징짓는다. 특히 간호학자들은 인간 상호 관계 속에서 이루어지는 돌봄의 감성적, 도덕적 특성을 “간호의 예술” 혹은 ‘인간 돌봄의 예술’이라는 표현을 통해 기술한다. 이글은 우선 간호학자들이 예술로서의 돌봄의 실천을 어떻게 이해하는 지에 대해 기술해 보고, 나이팅게일의 간호론에 대한 재해석을 통해서 전체론적 사고에 기초한 간호예술론의 입장을 고찰해 보기로 한다. 이글은 간호에서의 돌봄의 예술이 궁극적으로 취약한 상황에 처한 개인의 인격의 존엄성을 보호하고 유지하고 증진시킬 수 있는 도덕예술(moral art)로 나아가야함을 보여주고자 한다.

Nursing theorists have identified caring as a core concept of nursing, have categorized it: (1) caring as a human trait, (2) caring as a moral imperative or ideal, 93) caring as an affect, (4) caring as interpersonal relationship (5) caring as therapeutic intervention, They emphasized that caring implied aesthetical and ethical character in interpersonal relationship, so described it ’an art of nursing or art of human caring’. In this paper, I will argue the characteristic of caring practice as an art, reinterpret a theory of Nightingale’s nursing art as nature－healing art based on the holistic world view. This will ultimately provide that an art of caring should be regarded as an moral art in order to protect und preserve und promote human dignity of a vulnerable person.
