중국의 동아시아 진출현황 분석과 우리나라의 대응방안 연구

A Study on China`s Economic Advance into East Asia and Our Countermeasures

본 연구는 중국의 동아시아 진출현황을 분석하고 우리나라의 대응방안을 모색하고자 한다. 본 연구방법은 문헌조사에 의해 진행되었으며, 주로 한국의 삼성경제연구소의 연구결과와 대외경제정책연구원, 한국수출입은행, 외교통상부의 자료를 참고하였다. 또한 무역관련 지표는 한국무역협회(KITA)와 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA), 국가통계 포털의 자료를 참고하였고 각종 사이트, 통계자료, 신문기사 등을 활용하였다. 연구결과는 개혁개방 기치를 내건 이후 중국 경제는 중진국을 넘어 선진국 경제로 힘차게 도약하고 있는 중이다. 중국의 산업화와 축적된 자본으로 동아시아가 중국의 주요한 시장이 되기 시작하면서 동아시아에서 중국의 시장 점유율도 급속이 증가하고 있으며 동아시아로의 수출이 중국 중심으로 변하는 등 중국과 동아시아의 관계가 전반적으로 변하고 있다. 동아시아는 한국에게 있어서 가장 중요한 경제협력지역이기 때문에 시장잠재력이 크고 관세율이 높은 국가들과 쌍무적 FTA를 추진하는 한편, 주기적으로 FTA 협정을 검토해 개방 폭을 확대해야 하며 아세안 내에서 중국 상품과 경쟁하기 위해서는 품질과 서비스의 질을 높여야 한다. 또한 동북아 3국과의 FTA를 통해서 동북아의 중재자로, 아세안과의 협력을 통해 아세안에 대한 책임 있는 동반자 역할을 해야 한다.

This study aims to analyse China`s advance into East Asia and present our countermeasures. The study was mainly based on bibliographical research including results of research by Knowledge Hub for Creative Solutions, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, Korea Exim Bank, and Ministry of Diplomacy and International Trade. For the trade indexes, Korean International Trade Association(KITA), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA), and portal data of national statistics, a variety of sites and newspaper articles were used. The results are presented as follows: China has been advancing into a developed country in economy under the slogan of economic reform. With its industrialization and accumulated capital, East Asia has become one of its main markets, and its market occupancy there is rapidly increasing as it has focused on export to East Asia. As East asia is one of the most important economic cooperation zones to Korea, we have to have a two-way FTA with countries with high market potential and customs tariff and examine it on a regular basis for wider reform. To be competitive in comparison with China, we have to raise the quality of products and services. Also we have to be a mediator for Northeast Asia through FTAs with three Northeast Asian countries and a partner for Asian countries through cooperation with Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN).
