This study aimed to investigate contact medias of the Korean Wave culture including contact aspects of the Korean Wave culture, contact period, and contact motivation, and also the effect of Korean Wave on Japanese and Japanese society with expansion of the Korean Wave(Hallyu). This study revealed several new findings. First, in the global era, it took greater effect on the Korean Wave for Japanese came Korea and experienced Korean culture directly though Korean drama, music, and video also played important role in the spread of the Korean Wave. Second, there was a cognition gap between reality and basic identity for the attitude of Japanese toward Koreans and Japanese Koreans such as recognition of Japanese Koreans` existence and negativity to discrimination. Third, it needed to explore various kinds of Korean Wave goods including the food like kimchi and laver which were bought by Japanese.
