세미나 5 : 도시가계의 주류 및 담배의 수요탄력성 추정

Estimate demand elasticities for alcohol and tobacco in rural Korea

본 연구는 1985년부터 2005년까지의 도시가계 데이터를 LA/AIDS 모형을 사용하여 우리나라의 주류 수요탄력성을 추정하고자 한다. 외국의 경우 주류는 비재화와 같이 추정하는 경향이 있고, 담배소비와 보완재적 관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 주류와 담배를 각각의 설명변수로 하여 같이 추정한 결과 주류와 담배의 자기가격탄력성은 각각 -0.41, -0.77로 추정되었다. 이를 바탕으로 주류 수요억제정책의 일환인 가격인상정책에 대한 효과에 대해서 분석해보고자 한다.

This report estimated demand elasticities for alcohol and tobacco by LA/AIDS Model using rural Korea micro data from 1985 to 2005. Other researchs usually estimate elasticity for alcohol with the bad goods. Particularly it announce a tobacco to tend toward complements. We estimate for alcohol and tobacco price elasticity is -0.41, -0.77. We will analysis effects to a policy of price raising.
