A Business Analysis and Competitiveness for Chinese Logistic Companies

본 논문에서는 중국 물류기업의 경쟁력을 비교분석하였다. 개별기업에 대한 자료를 구하기 어렵다는 점을 감안하여 17개 상장된 물류기업 자료를 사용하여 측정한 기술적 효율성과 무형자산의 암묵가격 추정결과는 일반적 상식에 부합하는 의미있는 결과를 도출하였다고 판단한다. 첫째, 2001-2004년 기간 동안 물류기업의 일반적 경영환경은 상당히 악화되었다. 또한 물류기업의 기술적 효율성 또한 저하되는 현상이 관찰된다. 둘째, 대형 국유기업에 소속된 물류기업의 경우 기술적 효율성이 월등히 높은 것으로 나타난다. 이는 물류산업의 속성상 물류네트워크의 한 부분을 담당하며 복합운송이 상대적으로 대형 물류집단에서 용이하게 이루어지는 것에 기인하는 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 암묵가격으로 측정된 기업의 장기적 경쟁력은 단기간에는 많은 변화를 나타내지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 기업경영에 일단 문제가 발생한 기업의 경우 이들의 장기적 경쟁력의 저하는 피할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다.

In this paper, we examine the production competitiveness for 17 listed logistics companies in China by measuring the technical efficiency and shadow price of intangible capital assets. Firstly, the general business environment logistics firms faced deteriorates and technical efficiency decreases over the period 2001-2004. Secondly, the technical efficiency for large government-owned firms is far higher than others. Thirdly, potential competitiveness, measured in terms of shadow price, does not show much change. The trouble with business management inevitably leads to a decline in the potential competitiveness.
