중부권역별(충청남도;충청북도;대전광역시) 제조업부문 생산성 수렴가설 검증 및 결정요인 분석

An Analysis of the Productivity and Convergence for the Manufacturing Sector in the Central Regions

본 논문에서는 중부권역별(충청남도;충청북도;대전광역시)의 지역총생산(GRDP)에 큰 영향을 미치는 제조업의 노동생산성을 분석대상으로 수렴검증 및 제조업 생산성 결정요인 분석을 실시하였다. 수렴분석결과;3개 지역모두 절대적 및 조건부 수렴가설을 기각함에 따라 제조업의 생산성은 수렴하고 있음을 보이고 있다. 제조업 부문의 생산성을 결정하는 요인을 살펴보면;우선 인적자본변수는 충청남도의 경우 부가가치 상승에는 영향을 미치지만 기술진보와는 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 충청북도는 인적자본의 증가가 총요소생산성 향상에 긍정적인 역할을;대전광역시는 1인당 부가가치 상승에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 정부지출변수의 경우 3개 지역 모두 정부지출의 증가가 제조업의 총요소생산성 향상에 크게 기여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구개발변수의 경우;충청남도는 연구개발인력의 증가가 제조업의 생산성에 크게 기여하고 있는 것으로 나타났지만;충청북도의 경우는 연구개발활동 증가가 생산성 향상에 미치는 영향이 나타나지 않는다. 대전광역시의 경우 지재권의 증가가 제조업생산성에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 입지계수의 영향을 살펴보면;3개 지역 모두 특정지역의 산업이 발달 할수록 해당산업의 생산성 또한 높게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

In this paper;we analysed the absolute and conditional convergency hypothesis and the determinants of productivity in manufacturing industries from 2000 to 2009 with Chungbuk;Chungnam;and Daejeon by using panel analysis. In terms of convergency hypothesis test;all three regions reject the null hypothesis(H0) of the convergency hypothesis so that these three regions converged to the steady-state equilibrium. In addition;the results of the determinants of the labor productivity in manufacturing industry show that human capital does affect to the labor productivity in three provinces. The role of capital and location variables have affect to labor productivity seriously in three provinces. Hence;for the total factor productivity;the government has to revise the balanced regional development policy to develop regional manufacturing industries with R&D activities.
