고등학생 태권도선수의 그릿, 경쟁상태불안, 공격성의 관계

The Relationship of GRIT, Competitive State Anxiety, and Aggression of Adolescent Taekwondo Players

This study investigated the relationship of grit, competitive state anxiety, and aggression of high schoool Taekwondo players. Participants of this study were 331 (male 234, female 97) players registered in Korean Taekwondo Association (KTA). Collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. These analysis were performed using SPSS 22.0 programs. The results derived through the analysis are as follows. First, consistency of interest and perseverance of effort, two sub-scales of grit, had a negative effect on cognitive and somatic anxiety, and consistency of interest had a positive effect on state confidence. Second, consistency of interest and perseverance of effort, two sub-scales of grit, had a negative effect on aggressiveness and anger. Third, somatic anxiety had a positive effect on aggressiveness and anger, and cognitive anxiety had a positive effect on anger. In conclusion, high school Taekwondo players’ grit reduce competitive anxiety and aggression while competitive anxiety increase their aggression.
