제조업과 두 개의 산업에서의 기술효율성을 패턴을 비교함으로서, 생산함수의 변수에 대해 다른 수준의 데이터(제조업 대 산업수준)사용은 기술효율성의 패턴 역시 다르게 유도함을 보이고자 한다. 기술효율성의 패턴은 해당 산업에 따라 다르게 나타남을 보이고자 한다. 또한 생산성증가의 패턴역시 살펴보고자 한다. 본 논문은 기술효율성과 생산성증가가 제조업과 두 개의 산업에서 다르게 나타남을 보였다. 생산성의 세분화는 좀 더 정확한 정책적 의미를 유도할 수 있음을 보였다. 그리고 국가 간의 생산성 성과를 살펴봄으로서, 수렴이론이 두 개의 산업에서는 발생하지만, 제조업에서는 발생하지 않음으로 보였다.
The comparison of patterns of technical efficiency in manufacturing and two industries suggests that the different level of data (manufacturing vs. industry level) for variables in the production function lead to different patterns of technical efficiency in the corresponding sectors. The different characteristics of industries leads to different patterns of technical efficiency on industries. This paper also examines patterns in productivity growth in manufacturing and two industries. This paper shows that the pattern in technical efficiency and productivity growth in manufacturing and two industries differ. The decomposition of productivity growth leads to a better policy implication. Based on the productivity performance among countries, this paper shows that the convergence theory occurs in both industries, but not in manufacturing.
