중력모형(Gravity Model)을 통한 對BRICs 무역구조분석

A Study of Trade Structure for the BRICs by the Gravity Model

본 논문에서는 최근 BRICs 국가의 부상에 따른 각 국가별 경제현황을 무역과 해외투자유입액 측면에서 고찰하고, 국가별 순 수출과 해외투자유입이 실질생산 증가에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 우리나라의 교역패턴을 중력모형(Gravity Model)을 통하여 주요요인을 규명하고 교역패턴의 특성분석을 통하여 향후 對 BRICs국가들과의 교역확대 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 중력모형에 따른 회귀분석 결과 우리나라와 BRICs와의 교역규모를 결정하는 데 있어서 지리적 장애요인 여부를 나타내는 거리변수, 양국 GDP 곱, 그리고 일인당 국민소득이 중요한 영향을 미치고 있음을 보이고 있어서, 이들 국가에 대한 통상증진의 중요성이 커지고 있음을 보이고 있다

This paper looks at the current status of economic environments in terms of growth rate, trade, and other economic factors for the BRICs. Also, it analyses for the effect of net export and foreign investment in-flowed in explaining the growth rate as well as for the trade structure for these countries by the Gravity model. The results show that the distance, GDP, and gdp per capita are important factors for determining the trade structure and size between Korea and BRICs. Results show according to the Gravity model that distance, gdp size and gdp per capita are all influential explanatory variables in determining the trade size between Korea and BRICs.
