An Empirical Analysis of the Management Accomplishments by Foreign Enterprises in Local Korea : Focused on Differences between sole venture and joint venture

현지한국에 진출한 외국기업의 경영성과에 대한 실증분석: 단독투자와 합작투자를 중심으로

한국에 진출하여 경영활동을 수행하는 외국기업들이 많이 있다. 이들 외국기업이 한국을 선택하여 경영활동을 수행하는 이유와 어떠한 형태로 진출하여 경영활동을 전개하고 있는지 그리고 합작투자와 직접투자 형태로 진출한 외국기업의 경영성과의 차이는 나타나고 있는지를 알아 보고 외국 현지로 진출을 계획하고 있는 한국기업들에게 긍정적인 의사결정 자료로 이용되었으면 한다. 외국계 기업은 미국, 일본, EU 지역으로 한정하였다.

The main purpose of this study can be said to present an alternative idea thru empirical research about foreign firms creating management performances in local Korea and then this study might assist the korean firms having any plans of International Business thru FDI. On the other hand, many overseas firms have been managing in there. Some are good in Korea and others bad in there. What reasons can this situation happen? There are some important things or factors called the patterns of entry like sole and joint venture, firm's strategic plans to mgmt., and local environment. Thru empirically statistical analysis, the strong predictors are found out as positively or negatively related to their mgmt. results in satisfaction in Korea
