한반도 분단구조 속의 여성

This paper intend to review the effects of the division of the Korean peninsular on korean women assuming that the division of the Korean peninsular have something to do with the women question, i.e. dependence of women. The Korea manifest the women question condensed dependence of women and weakening political power of women. This is ascertained as a result of study that the index of sex equality and power lag behind economic development. This fact lead to raise a question why does the women question in Korea occur and what is the cause of the women question in Korea. The majority of the existing women studies indicated that the dependence of women in Korea has to do with the traditional ideology, confucianism. The confucianism continuous influence has been strengthened by the State's policies for political reason which is caused under the existing structure of the division of the Korean peninsular. The structure of the division of the Korean peninsular has made it possible to form and maintain the patriarchal authoritative government which consolidate the exiting sex discrimination in the South and the North Korea. As a result, in spite of heterogeneous both the South and the North Korea have reaccept the patriarchal confucianism as ruling ideology. This is operated on as the source of the strengthening the dependence of women in Korea-both the South and the North-.
