This paper aims to review the situation and problems to be solved of Latinamerican Studies in Spanish Education in Korean Universities and helps future research by suggesting it's perspectives. Particularly, this study analyzes numerical subjects of Latinamerican Studies, opened in 13 spanish majors' curriculums of Korean Universities. The first chapter is an introduction, including the definition of area studies in Spanish Education of Korean Universities. In the second chapter, this paper gives a observation and consideration of actual situation of Latinamerican Studies subjects through a analysis of 13 universities' curriculums and a questionnaire on Latinamerican Studies subjects. The third deals with some proposals and propositions at the desirable path and role of Area Studies in the Spanish Education of Korean University. Finally this paper takes a global view of the Latinamerican Studies education in Korea. It would became a base for Latinamerican Studies in Korea to take off to an advanced discipline.
