본 연구는 한반도 통일에 있어서 자유가치와 평화가치 간의 상관성에 관한 정치철학적 분석에 관한 것이다. 사실 지금까지 자유와 평화에대한 정치철학적 분석은 많이 있어 왔지만 그 용어상의 난해함으로 인해 명확한 상관성을 정리한 글들은 거의 보이지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이런 점에서 본 논문은 자유와 평화가치의 정치철학에 대한 필자의 견해를 밝히고 이를 근거해서 한반도 통일에 있어서 자유와 평화가치의상관성에 관한 정치철학적 분석을 규명하고 있다. 한반도 통일은 무엇보다도 한반도 및 동북아 나아가 세계평화질서 구축에 결정적인 역할을하기 때문에 한반도 통일은 반드시 세계사의 진운과 그 맥을 같이 하는방향으로 나아가야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 자유와 평화 간의 상관성에대한 명확한 정치철학적 분석이 필요하다. 자유가치는 절대적이고 독립적인 가치인 반면에 평화는 그 어떤 전제에 의해 구속되는 결과적 가치이다. 평화는 반드시 자유라고 하는 인간의 본질적 가치에 의해 규정되고 전제될 때만이 올바른 평화라고 할 수 있다. 이것이 바로 자유평화론이고 민주평화론이라고 할 수 있다. 이런 점에서 볼 때 자유와 평화는전제와 결과의 관계에 있다고 하겠다.
This thesis is aimed to analyse on the political philosophical view the relationship of freedom and peace value in the Korean Peninsular unification. Until now, the political philosophical analysis on the freedom and peace has no lack. But by occasion of terminological wayoutness, the thesis on the relationship of freedom and peace value is almost invisible. Under this situation, this study reveals the writer's opinions about political philosophy. On this, political philosophical analysis the relationship of freedom and peace value in the Korean Peninsular unification is being determined to clarify. Because of Reunification has a crucial role in building the Korean Peninsula, Northeast Asia and world peace order, the Korean Peninsula reunification must go forward with the flow of world history. To do that, definite political philosophical analysis of the interrelationship between freedom and peace is needed. Freedom is absolute and independent value, while peace is resulting value arresting by the conditions . In this regard, I think that freedom and peace is under the relation of premise and result.
