지금 대한민국은 상식이 통하지 않는 북한을 상대로 하여 6.25전쟁이후 가장 큰 안보위기 상황에 처해 있다. 북한은 2010년 3월 26일에는 천안함 폭침사건을, 8개월이 지난 11월 23일에는 연평도 포격사건을 저질렀다. 이러한 무력도발 외에도 북한은 때로는 심리적 위협을, 때로는 평화를 앞세운 대화공세를 일삼고 있다. 이로 인해 우리 사회는심한 ‘남남갈등’ 현상을 겪고 있고, 체제위기에 직면한 북한은 이러한현상에 편승하여 대남 선전선동과 통일전선전술을 극대화하고 있다. 두말할 필요 없이 이 같은 양상은 우리 대한민국이 심각한 정신적 안보위기를 겪고 있다는 사실을 극명하게 보여주고 있다. 우리는 북한의 군사력보다도 더 무서운 적은 우리의 내부에 있다는 사실을 인식해야 한다. 비록 우리가 북한에 비해 경제적으로 수십 배 앞서 있다 하더라도정신력이 쇠퇴하면, 언제든지 북한의 대남전략에 농락당할 수 있다는사실을 결코 망각해서는 안 된다. 지금 우리 안보를 위해 절실히 요구되는 것은 물질보다도 내적 통합력이다. 경제력은 전쟁의 필요조건이기는 하지만, 충분조건은 아니다. 북한은 심리전을 통해 ‘남조선 혁명’을성공시키고자 혈안이 되어 있다. 북한이 끊임없이 ‘우리 민족끼리’ 구호를 앞세우며 대남 선전선동과 통일전선전술에 열을 올리는 이유는 바로여기에 있음을 한시도 잊어서는 안 될 것이다.
South Korea is now in the greatest security crisis situation because of North Korea's military threat after the Korean War. March 26, 2010, North Korea provoked the Chunanham incident, and after 8 months, November 23, Yeonpyeongdo incident. In addition to these armed provocations, North Korea has posed sometimes a psychological threat, sometimes a peace offensive. Because of this, our society is experiencing so-called ‘south-south conflict.’ By taking advantage of this phenomenon, North Korea, facing a system crisis, has strengthened propaganda and united front tactics against South Korea. Needless to say, this phenomenon shows clearly that our society is experiencing a serious mental security crisis. We should not forget that ‘internal enemy’ of our society is more frightening than North Korea's military force. Although South Korea's economy is ahead more than ten times compared to the North, if mentality of our society declines, anytime, we can be destroyed by North Korea. Now in order to strengthen our security, social integration is earnestly needed. A country's economy is a necessary condition of war, not a sufficient condition. North Korea is instigating constantly ‘South Korean Revolution’ trough the psychological warfare. This is the reason why North Korea is repeating the slogan ‘by our nation itself.’
