The Effect of University Education Competency Perceived by Hotel Management Major on Career Adaptation: Mediation Effect of Career Competency

This study was analyzed using the (SPSS V21.0) program to investigate the effect of university education competency on career competency and career adaptation based on 110 samples collected. As a result of the analysis, a total of eight factors were derived, including self-understanding, career awareness, rational decision-making, interest in career adaptation, control, curiosity, and confidence, which are sub-factors of university education and career competency. It was analyzed that both the sub-factors of university education competency and career competency showed a significant influence, and among them, it had the greatest influence on career awareness. In addition, it was analyzed that university education competency also showed a significant influence on all sub-factors of career adaptation, and among them, it had the greatest influence on control. In the verification of the mediating effect through career competency, career competency factors were found to play a mediating role. These results show that university education competency and career competency are very important variables in college students' career adaptation.
