입학사정관제 전형이 대학생활에 미친 긍정적 효과

The positive effects of the admission officer system on college life: a qualitative study on graduates of one nursing college

본 연구의 목적은 입학사정관제 전형의 성과를 확인하고자 하는 것이다. 입학사정관제 전형으로 간호학과에 입학한 학생 9명을 대상으로 졸업시점에서 심층면담을 하였고 면담자료는 근거이론 접근법으로 분석하였다. 입학사정관제 전형으로 입학한 학생들의 특성은 다음과 같았다. 이들은 간호사의 꿈(Vision)을 일찍 정하였고, 중 ·고등학교 때부터 다양한 교과 외 활동을 주도적으로 하였다. 이들은 대학에 입학한 후에도 전공에 대한 분명한 확신을 가지고 전공 학습과 교과 외 활동을 지속적으로 하였다. 4년 동안의 대학생활을 통해서 간호사가 되고자 했던 자신의 목표를 이루게 되었음에 만족하였다. 학생들은 입학사정관제 전형을 통해 대학입학의 기회를 얻었고, 대학은 성적위주가 아닌 방법으로 학습능력이 있는 학생을 선발할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 입학사정관제 전형을 통하여 학생과 대학 모두 교육목표를 달성하였다.

The purpose of the study is to confirm the merits and demerits of the admission officer system. Author had in-depth interviews with nine students who entered the nursing department of one college through admission officer system. Interview data were analyzed using a Grounded theory approach. The characteristics of the students who are admitted to the college through admission officer system are as follows; They set their vision early. And they did many extracurricular activities in high school. Even after they entered the college they actively studied nursing and did other extracurricular activities. Students were given the opportunity to enter the college, and the college was able to select students with learning abilities in a way that was not based on grades only. In conclusion, both students and the college achieved its educational goal through the admission officer system.
