Integrated Model of Hospital Data for the Development of PHR

To develop PHR, in this study, we propose a model that integrates the information of patients stored in hospitals. Since it runs partial data that are extracted in a single main server, rather than completely integrated data among hospitals, the proposed model can be included in the category of integrated PHR development. In the proposed model, the systems of allied medical institutions provide only partial data of patients kept in hospital databases to the integrated system server. Then the application system provides the information of personal medical history, hospitals, diagnosis and administration/prescription, utilizing the data collected from the integrated server of patient information. The proposed PHR model is characterized with the provision of web-based treatment information service, health-related information of a user, customized medical information service, explanations of test and diagnosis, health management service through self-monitoring and integrated inquiry system of many hospitals.
