영재교육 프로그램에 대한 과학영재의 만족도 조사

A Survey on the Satisfaction of Science Gifted Students for Gifted Education Program

본 연구의 목적은 G 대학 과학영재교육원에 재학 중인 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 학생들이 수업에서 느끼는 만족도를 파악하여 프로그램 질을 향상하는 데 있다. 이를 위해, 선행 연구를 바탕으로 영재프로그램 만족도 평가 요소와 준거를 설정하고 문항을 수정·보완하여 2021년 3월부터 12월까지 G 대학에서 영재교육을 받은 학생 94명을 대상으로 검사 도구를 개발하고 조사를 시행하였다. 교육 효과와 프로그램 전반적 만족도에 독립변인인 교수학습 내용에 대한 만족도, 교수학습 방법에 대한 만족도, 교수자에 대한 만족도의 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 교수학습 내용, 교수학습 방법, 교수자에 대한 만족도가 높아질수록 교육 효과가 높아지고 교수학습 내용, 교수자에 대한 만족도가 높아질수록 프로그램의 전반적 만족도가 높아지는 것으로 평가되었다. 연구 결과와 검사 도구의 주관식 서술 문항을 바탕으로 학생들은 과학 영재프로그램이 정규교육과정에서는 접해 보지 못한 새로운 분야를 다루며 탐구 활동이 많고, 스스로 실험할 수 있는 자기 주도적인 기회가 많고 수업 소재가 실생활에서 익숙한 소재에 대해 만족감을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 영재프로그램을 발전해나갈 방향을 모색하였다.

This study aims at improving the quality of the program by evaluating the satisfaction level of students in class through surveys and interviews with students attending the G University Science Gifted Education Center. In this research, 94 students who received gifted education from March to December 2021 were surveyed by setting elements and criteria for evaluating satisfaction of gifted programs based on previous studies and revising and supplementing questions. As a result of factor analysis, five factors influencing the gifted program were derived: ‘Teaching contents’, ‘Teaching methods’, ‘Educational effects’, ‘Teacher’, and ‘Perception of the program’. As a result, multiple regression analysis was conducted to understand the relationship, the higher the educational effect and overall satisfaction. As a result of the interview, students were satisfied with the subject that science gifted programs dealt with new fields that they had never encountered in the regular curriculum, had a lot of self-directed opportunities to experiment on their own, and were familiar with class materials in real life. Based on these results, the directions to develop gifted programs in the future were suggested.
