허수경의 시와 산문에 내포된 고아성과 연대성 연구

Study of Orphanhood and Solidarity implied in Heo Soo-Kyung’s Poetry and Prose

본고는 허수경의 시에서 시적 자아의 자기 인식이 어떻게 규정되는지 분석하여 고아성(孤兒性)의 의미를 밝히고 연대의 대상인 타자의 형상화와 증언의 목소리에 내재된 시적 의도를 분석한 뒤,이 두 축의 간극과 교차 지점을 통해 허수경 시의 복합적특질과 미감을 살피고자 리처드 로티의 자유주의 아이러니스트 개념을 활용하였다. 자유주의 아이러니스트는 자아 창조를 위해 새로운 메타포를 창안하고자 함과 동시에 타자의 고통에 관심을 기울이고 재서술을 통한 연대의 가능성을 모색하는 자를의미한다.본고는 로티의 논의와 허수경의 작품을 아우르는 키워드로 ‘자아 창조’,‘메타포’,‘고통과 굴욕’,‘상상력’,‘재서술(망각과 기억)’을 추출하였고,이를 허수경의 시세계를 읽어내는 도구로 활용하였다. 허수경에게 존재론적이고 시적인 윤리성은 새로운 메타포를 통해 내적 세계를 표현하고자 하는 아이러니스트로서의 면모와 타자의 고통과 굴욕을 응시하고 내재화하는 자유주의자로서의 면모가 교차되는 지점에 놓여 있다.즉 자신만의 시적 상상력과메타포로써 타자가 처한 상황과 고통의 감정을 기억하고 재서술해야 한다는 시인으로서의 책임감이 허수경의 시세계를 견고하게 구축하도록 이끌었다고 볼 수 있다.

This study would understand the meaning of orphanhood by analyzing how the poetic self’s self-recognition is defined in Heo Soo-Kyung’s poems, using Richard Rorty’s concept of liberal ironist, reveal the poetic intention implied in the representation of others, the subjects of solidarity and their voice of testimony and examine the complex characteristic and taste of her poetry through the gap and intersection point between these two axes. A liberal ironist refers to a person who would come up with new metaphors for self-creation, pays attention to others’ pain and seeks the possibility of solidarity through redescription. This study extracted ‘self-creation,’ ‘metaphor,’ ‘pain and humiliation,’ ‘imagination,’ and ‘redescription (oblivion and memory)’ as keywords that put Rorty’s discussions and Heo Soo-Kyung’s works together and utilized them as the tools to read Heo Soo-Kyung’s world of poetry. For Heo Soo-Kyung, existential and poetic ethicality lie at the point where her image as an ironist who would express her inner world through a new metaphor and her image as a liberalist who gazes at and internalizes pain and humiliation cross. In other words, it is judged that her responsibility as a poet that she should remember and redescribe others’ situations and painful emotions with her poetic imagination and metaphor led to the solid construction of Heo Soo-Kyung’s world of poetry.
