성인전담대학 성인학습자의 개인특성과 대학선택요인, 사회적 지지가 대학몰입 및 추천 의도에 미치는 영향 연구

A Study on the effectof Personal Characteristics, Choice Factors, and Social Support on Institutional Commitment and Recommendation Intention of Adult Learners in Adult Universities - focusing on the mediating effect of s’ Institutional Commitment

본 연구는 전국 소재 성인전담 단과대학 9개교의 최초 졸업생 233명을 대상으로그들의 개인특성과 대학선택요인, 사회적 지지가 대학몰입 및 추천 의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 26.0과 Jamovi 2.2.2.을 활용하여위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 대학 내 성인학습자의 연령이 낮을수록 대학몰입에 긍정적 효과를 나타났다. 둘째, 대학선택요인 중 교육 품질 요인과사회적 명성 요인 순으로 대학몰입에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 사회적 지지의 경우 대학몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 넷째, 대학선택요인과 타인 추천의도 간에 있어 대학몰입의 매개 효과를 살펴보았을 때, 대학 선택요인 중 교육 품질요인과 사회적 명성 요인은 부분 매개 효과를 보였고, 재정적 접근성과 직업적 요인은 대학몰입에 완전 매개 효과를 보였다. 다섯째, 사회적 지지는 추천 의도에 직접 영향을 미치지 않고 대학몰입을 거쳐 타인 추천 의도에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 초고령사회 진입 및 4차 산업혁명에 따른 산업․고용 구조의 급속한 재편, 디지털 대전환 시대 등 사회․경제․문화 전 분야에 걸친 시대적 변화 속에서 평생교육과 결합한 대학의 새로운 모형인 ‘성인전담대학’의 실질적 효과 및 영향요인 등을 살펴봄으로써, 향후 대학의 성인친화형 체질 개선 및 성인전담대학 설계․ 운영 전략 마련에 실질적 시사점을 제공하였다는 데 연구의 의의가 있다.

This study surveyed 233 first-time graduates from 9 adult-only colleges in South Korea. As a result of the study, first, it was found that the younger the age of adult learners of lifelong education in the university, the more positive the attitude toward concentrating in the university to which they belong. Second, educational selection factors had a positive effect on university immersion in the order of educational quality and social reputation. Third, social support has been demonstrated as a factor that has a positive effect on university immersion. Fourth, this study tried to examine the mediating effect of Institutional Commitment between college selection factors and intention to recommend others. Among the four college selection factors, educational quality and social reputation showed a partial mediating effect. It is worth noting that the two factors, financial accessibility and occupational factors, showed a complete mediating effect, in which college immersion plays a mediating role. Fifth, it was found that social support influenced the recommendation intention of others through university immersion. This study examines the factors that should be considered to promote adult learners' Institutional Commitment and academic performance in the future lifelong education-related operation of universities and provides implications for designing and operating strategies for universities that seek to improve the adult-friendly constitution. In particular, it has significance in that it expanded the basis of the study in that it revealed more in-depth that Institutional Commitment is a variable that plays an important role.
