The interpretations of F. Nietzsche’s thoughts on woman are diverse and even controversial one another. For example, on the one hand some scholars criticised Nietzsche’s thoughts on woman, which has not overcome the traditional, conservative way of thinking by philosophers in western history of philosophy. On the other hand, the opposites opinion argued that Nietzsche’s thoughts on woman are useful for contemporary feminism. For Nietzsche metaphored the life and the truth as woman, although he said that woman has nothing to do with truth in different context. Most of all, Nietzsches real thoughts and utterances on woman of 19th century and his attitude toward women with whom he had close friendship, should be analyzed. Then the latent potentiality of Nietzsche’s philosophy, which seemed to criticize the phallocentric philosophy, could be discussed. This strategical division into two parts of research on Nietzsche’s thoughts on woman is important for more efficient controversies. It seems to be true that Nietzsche criticizes phallocentric philosophy. Nevertheless we shouldn’t deduce that Nietzsche is pro-feminism philosopher. It could be logical leap. Therefore the limitation and possibility for feminism of Nietzsche’s thoughts on woman should be analyzed clearly in detail. The philosophical dispute on Nietzsches thoughts on woman and it’s possibility for feministic application against phallocentrism should be based on this fundamental analysis.
