니체의 힘에의 의지 개념

Nietzsche’s concept of will to power

힘에의 의지에 대한 해석은 지금까지 수없이 많이 이루어져 왔다. 따라서독창적인 해석을 하기는 쉽지 않고 그렇다고 평범하고 일반적인 한 가지 해석을또 한 가지 덧붙이는 것은 큰 의미를 갖지 못할 가능성이 크다. 그렇다고 기왕의해석들을 전적으로 무시하기도 어렵다. 그렇다면 어떤 방식의 논의가 이 난국에서 벗어나거나 최소한 그것을 완화시켜 줄 수 있을까? 이 글은 그러한 방식으로다음을 제안하고자 한다. 즉 우선 니체의 힘에의 의지 개념이 발원한 원천을제시함으로써 특정한 해석들에 의존하지 않고 힘에의 의지가 가진 근본 특성들을 조명해 본다. 이는 니체가 특히 초기에 많은 영향을 받았던 쇼펜하우어의의지 개념에 대한 검토를 요구한다. 다음으로 많은 입장들 가운데 니체의 힘에의 의지에 대한 대표적 해석 두 가지를 집중적으로 살펴본다. 하이데거의 해석과 들뢰즈의 해석이 그것들이다. 전자는 형이상학적 해석을 대변하고, 후자는탈(脫)형이상학적 해석의 전형을 보여준다. 끝으로 이 두 가지 해석의 공통점을통해 힘에의 의지에 대한 파시즘적 오독을 불식시킬 수 있는 단초를 마련하고,더 나아가 어느 입장이 더 설득력이 있는지를 논증한다. 이 과정은 직접 두입장을 비교하지 않고 니체의 전후기 사상에 걸쳐 전반적으로 나타나는 디오니소스적인 것(Dionysisch)에 관한 니체의 견해를 통해 이루어질 것이다. 이같은 방식을 택한 이유는 힘에의 의지에 대한 하이데거와 들뢰즈 견해의 직접비교는 위에서 언급한대로 그들의 사상 전체에 대한 선이해를 요구하는 또 다른해석학적 순환에 마주칠 수밖에 없고 따라서 다른 기회에 이루어져야 하는 더큰 규모의 연구를 필요로 하기 때문이다.

Until now the interpretations of Nietzsche’s will to power has been accomplished endlessly. Therefore it is difficult to interpret it originally and it is meaningless to add to another thing which is trivial and commonsense. Nevertheless we should not ignore them. If so, how can we escape from this dilemma or moderate it? This paper suggests such a method as follows. First of all, we shall illuminate the cardinal characteristics of the will to power by describing the sources of it independent of particular viewpoints. This requires that we should investigate Schopenhauer’s concept of will. Next among many interpretations we will analyse two representative i.e. those of Heidegger and Deleuze. The former shows the metaphysical interpretation and the latter post-metaphysical interpretation. Finally we shall make a starting point for criticising fascistic misunderstanding and further demonstrate which position is more probable. This course is made possible by means of the Dionysisch that Nietzsche had been interested in his all life. Because the direct comparison of two thoughts will make us fall in another hermeneutic circle which needs the preunderstanding of their whole work that is not yet possible.
