Direction of Marine Tourism after Corona Pandemic Focused on Trend and Social Issues

The corona pandemic has a tremendous impact on changes in social phenomena, and the technological development in the era of the 4th industrial revolution is rapidly changing society, so it is necessary to analyze current trends to preemptively respond to future changes. This study aims to examine the changes in trends caused by the prolonged corona pandemic and predict the future of marine tourism. In addition, in order to predict changes in marine tourism, trends affecting society as a whole and social problems that emerged as an issue in the wake of COVID-19 are analyzed, and based on this, the direction of future marine tourism is suggested as follows. First, value consumption trends and eco-friendly travel trends can be applied to solve global warming and marine pollution problems. Second, it is possible to apply the trend of stay-type travel and the trend of coexistence with the local community in order to solve the problem of disappearance of provinces and disappearance of fishing villages. Third, nature-oriented travel trends and healing travel (healthy pleasure) trends can be applied to solve stress (depression) social problems.
