Movie poster is a representative form of visual communication design, and the title has visual effects of typography as well as linguistic meanings. This study aims to analyze how American movie posters were translated into Korean versions in terms of linguistic and visual aspects, focusing on titles. The most popular method of translation of the titles was transcription. The transcription of the titles shows the translation intention to make the title of TT phonetically identical to the title of ST and distribute it. And the addition shift of series number and subtitle was also applied in TT. By adding them, it was explicit that it was a series movie and the meaning of the main title was explicit. Visually, the color of the titles was changed to white, and the titles was moved to the bottom or center. The changes reflect the general trend of movie poster design. However, the design functions and semantic effects as typography, such as the color, size, and font of the letters, were rather reduced.
