In the 14th and 15th centuries, there was a movement to put the English language, which had been firmly established as the first language, at the center and leading position of society. It was none other than the church that the English struggled the most. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the vocabulary he used in the English Bible, focusing on Wycliffe's English Bible, in order to examine the period of time on the English Bible for interpretation and translation studies. Therefore, by capturing the historical background, Wycliffe's worldview, the historical situation and his achievements when he translated the Latin Bible into the English Bible, and the lexical categories appearing in the Bible he translated into English were analyzed. It was discovered that many words appearing in the English Bible were derived from Wycliffe's translation, and many phrases commonly used in modern English were analyzed. This study confirmed the usefulness of the results of this study by analyzing the lexical contribution of Wycliffe's English Bible to modern society
