This study Korea is moving into an aging society at a faster rate than any other country in the world. The entry into an aging society means that the days of living as an elderly person after retirement are that much longer. In such an aging society, interest in general-purpose design on how comfortable the elderly can lead is increasing. However, general-purpose design should be studied based on the physical and mental characteristics of the elderly. The general-purpose design considering a small number of users can ultimately be used conveniently by a large number of users, including the general public as well as the elderly. Aging is not a disease, it is a natural phenomenon of life that one must experience as they grow older. For the elderly, the change in perception regarding the pursuit of quality of life in the future is higher than anyone else. Interest in health is increasing, and the consciousness is changing to welcome a healthy and energetic second life through self-management. In this study, physical, psychological, and social changes caused by aging were examined, and the spatial structure necessary for the elderly was studied. This study was conducted to improve the convenience of living space in the life of the elderly.
