외국인노동자지원센터 한국어 교육의 실제와 개선 방안

Current Status and Improvement Plans of Korean Language Education at the Support Center for Foreign Workers

본 연구의 목적은 외국인노동자지원센터 한국어 교육의 실제를 분석하고 개선 방안을 제시하는 데에있다. 이를 위해 외국인노동자지원센터의 한국어 교육 실제를 교육과정, 교재, 교사를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 외국인노동자지원센터는 한국어 교육을 주요 사업 분야로 삼고 있음에도 불구하고 교육 인프라와교육 전문성을 확보하지 못한 상태로 이에 대한 개선이 시급히 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 개선 방안으로 이주 노동자의 특성과 요구가 반영된 교육과정을 개발하고 이에 맞춘 교재의 개발과 함께 전문 교사 양성을 위한 교사 교육의 방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 그동안 그리 연구가 이루어지지 않은 이주 노동자에 대한 효율적인 한국어 교육 방안을 모색하기 위한 하나의 논의로서 의미를 갖게 되기를 바란다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of Korean Language Education at the Support Center for Foreign Workers(SCFW) and to suggest improvement plans. For this purpose, the realities of Korean language education curriculum, textbooks and teachers at SCFW are examined. Although Korean language education is one of major businesses of SCFW, they do not have the education infrastructure and education expertise, So educational improvements are urgently needed. This study suggests that a curriculum that reflects the specific needs of foreign workers should be developed first and textbooks should be developed accordingly. In addition, the direction of providing teacher education to train professional teachers was suggested. This study would be meaningful as a discussion to find an efficient Korean language education plan for foreign workers, which has not been studied much in the past.
