The Relation between Idea of the World View and Philosophy: Focusing on Neo-Calvinism

세계관과 사회과학에 대한 담론 중에서 세계관과 철학과의 관계에 대한 전통적인 견해와 세계관의 개념에 대한 역사에 초점을 맞춘 논의가 오늘가지 진행되지 않았다. 이 점은 기독교 세계관 운동의 긴 역사와 관련해 아쉬운 점이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 세계관과 철학의 관계를 개념사적 관점에서 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 개념의 역사 혹은 개념사는 중요한 아이디어 혹은 개념이 처음 시작한 매트릭스와 그 이후 개념에 대한 이해를 고찰하는 역사적 방법을 말한다. 즉 개념사 연구란 한 개념이 겪는 진행사와 의미사를 통시적 차원과 공시적 차원을 함께 엮어 내어 재구성하는 시도이다. 이것은 지적 역사와 기독교 학자들이 관여하는 영적 정신적 투쟁 사이에 밀접한 관계가 있다고 주장하는 신 칼빈주의의 전통에서 특별히 중요한 의미를 지니고 있다고 할 수 있다.

Among the discourses on worldview and social sciences, discussions focused on the traditional view of the relationship between worldview and philosophy and the history of the concept of worldview have not been conducted today. This is a regrettable point in relation to the long history of the Christian worldview movement, and this paper aims to examine the relationship between worldview and philosophy from a conceptual historical point of view. The history or conceptual history of concepts refers to historical methods that examine the understanding of the matrix that the important idea or concept first started and the concept afterwards. In other words, the study of conceptual history is an attempt to reconstruct the progression and semantic history of a concept by combining the diachronic and public dimensions together.This is of particular significance in the tradition of neo-Calvinism, which argues that there is a close relationship between intellectual history and the spiritual and spiritual struggles involving Christian scholars.
