본 연구는 존 샌더스의 열린유신론에 대한 반박증거를 제시하기 위해 창세기 22장 본문을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 열린유신론을 주장하는 학자들은 하나님의 주권이라는 주제에 있어서 전통적인 개혁주의 신관의 설명과는 매우 다른 주장을 펼치는데, 하나님의 전능하신 지식과 인간의 자유의지가 서로 양립할 수 없다고 봄으로써 결국 하나님의 주권을 결국 제한시키게 되는 결론에 도달한다. 그들은 이런 주장을 펼치기 위해 창세기 22장을 주요한 근거로 제시한다. 본 연구는 창세기 22장을 연구함으 로써 창세기 22장이 열린유신론자들의 주장을 뒷받침하는 충분한 근거가되지 못한다는 사실을 보이고자 한다. 오히려, 창세기 22장의 핵심은 하나님께서 세우신 계획이 아브라함의 자유의지를 통하여 성취된다는 데 있음을 주장한다. 그러므로 창세기 22장은 하나님의 주권이라는 주제에 있어서 개혁주의적 견해 즉 양립론적 견해를 뒷받침한다고 이해되어야 한다.
This article purports to provide an exegesis of Genesis 22 as a counter-argument against the open view proposal of John Sanders, who belongs to a group of theologians, the so-called open theists. Their view on the subject of the divine sovereignty of God, quite different from the traditional, reformed view, very often leads to the reduction of the sovereignty of God, by arguing that God’s omniscient knowledge and human free will are inconsistent. The text of Genesis 22 is utilized by them to argue for the open view of God’s sovereignty. This article provides an exegesis of Genesis 22 and thereby argue that Genesis 22 does not does not provide evidences enough for the open view understanding of God’s knowledge and God’s sovereignty. Rather, the focal point of Genesis 22 is that the plan set up by God is accomplished through the free actions of Abraham. Therefore, the text of Genesis 22 best supports the reformed, compatibilistic view of God’s sovereignty.
