탄소중립적 화합물 생산을 위한 전기화학적 이산화탄소 자원화

Recently, the transition to a carbon-neutral society is accelerating around the world. It is necessary to apply clean technology such as electric vehicles, batteries, energy storage systems, hydrogen energy, and CCUS to change the fossil fuel-based industrial infrastructure to be carbon-neutral. Electrochemical CO2 recycling technology has received much attention due to its ability to convert CO2 to carbon-neutral chemicals via integration with renewable energy. Many studies have been reported over the last decade, but there are still several challenges such as improvement of energy efficiency, product selectivity, current density, and process stability that need to be addressed for the commercialization of the technologies. Herein, we present a method for selective CO2 recycling into formate via an electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction.
