다양한 온도에서 제조된 고미 바이오차가 상추 생육 및 토양에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Staled rice Biochar obtained from different pyrolysis temperature on soil and growth of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)

Rice consumption is gradually decreasing as the treads of meals change. The annual rice consumption per capita was 58.1 kg as of 2020, down 1.9% from the previous year. The domestic rice stock is 950,000 tons, which is more than recommended by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and a lot of money is spent to manage it. In order to solve this problem, we would like to propose a biochar made of Staled rice to see if it can be actually used as a soil conditioner. Biochar was manufactured under the same conditions except for temperature. Biochar was produced from Staled rice feedstock biomass at three different temperatures of 300°C, 500°C and 700°C and the resultant biochar is herein denoted as SR300, SR500 and SR700, respectively. All biochars were added to the soil at a rate of 1% (w w-1) and a treatment with uncharred staled rice (SR) applied to the soil at the same rate as biochar was also included. SR700 showed the best growth of lettuce compared to other treatments. Also, application of SR700 resulted in the increase of pH, EC, available phosphate contents, C/N ratio and pesticide recovery. In conclusion, it has been found that it is possible to promote the growth environment of soil and lettuces in a more positive direction by applying biochar manufactured using staled rice.
