전공선택 동기와 직업가치관이 진로장벽에 미치는 영향

Effects of Dental Hygiene and Student's Major Selection Motivation and Occupational Values on Career Barriers

본 연구는 일부지역 치위생과 학생들의 전공선택 동기와 직업가치관이 진로장벽에 미치는 영향을 조사하고, 진로장벽의 요인을 세부적으로 확인하였다. 치위생과 학생들의 진로장벽은 외재적 직업가치관, 교육과정 만족도, 학과만족도, 교수-학생 관계 만족도, 개인적 직업선택동기, 사회적 직업선택 동기와 모두 부의 상관관례를 가지는 것으로조사되었다. 직업가치관이 진로장벽에 미치는 영향에서는 외재적 직업가치관이 증가하면 진로장벽이 감소하는 것으로 나타났고, 전공선택에서는 개인적동기와 진로장벽이 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 학년별로는 직업가치관, 교육만족도, 전공선택 동기에서 1학년이, 3학년보다 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과 통해 치위생과 학생들의 진로장벽에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고 교육에서 해결할 수 없는 부분들을 치과의료계와 협력하고 학생들의 내적인 동기를 유발 하도록 학생 교육에 적용할 필요가 있다.

This study aims to provide the basic data for relieving the causes for career barriers of preservice dental hygienists by researching the effects of major selection motivation and work values on career barriers of dental hygiene students, and then verifying the factors of career barriers in detail Method: Using the PASW Statistical Program, the collected data was analyzed by using the principal component analysis by Varimax orthogonal rotation for factor analysis. This study also conducted the ANOVA for the comparison of means between main variables, the correlation analysis for correlations between factors, and the multiple regression analysis for analyzing the effects on career barriers. Result: In the results of researching the career barriers of dental hygiene students, it had negative correlations with extrinsic work values, curriculum satisfaction, department satisfaction, professor-student relationship satisfaction, personal job selection motivation, and social job selection motivation. The work values, educational satisfaction, and major selection motivation were more highly shown in the first year than the third year. Conclusions: On top of cooperating the parts that cannot be solved through education with the dental medical world, it would be also necessary to apply it to student education for arousing their intrinsic motivation.
