This study is aimed at identifying changes of fisheries fuel subsidy in Japan that led the CPTPP negotiations. Considering that all support policies supported by the government are applied to the WTO subsidy agreement, the conformity of CPTPP agreement for Japan's fuel subsidy can provide a direction for Korean fisheries to accept CPTPP norms in the future. This study method is based on literature review and estimation of Japanese fuel subsidy’s volume and value by comparing Japan Fisheries Agency’s budget data before CPTPP entry and after its ratification.
